Comp sent to Media Encoder from After Effects is not showing up

There are 2 important things to understand to solve this issue -
1. Every version of After Effects has it's own verson of Media Encoder and will only work with each other.
2. After Effects is parent to Media Encoder, meaning updating/installing Ae before updating/installing ME is crucial for the correct dynamic linking

Solution -

a. Uninstall both
b. Install After Effects first
c. Install Media Encoder
d. Open your After Effects project and add to Media Encoder Queue, this will create your first dynamic link.

@Lars-Erik Lunden Thanks for reporting this issue, sorry to hear that After Effects comps aren't showing up in the AME. That sounds more like a Dynamic Link-related issue, versus the problem reported in the previous thread where comps show up, but are rendered as black video, so I've moved your post here where others can help with troubleshooting.

For Dynamic Link AE > AME issues, here are the usual troubleshooting steps:

• Restart your computer
• Ensure all dynamiclinkmanager processes are closed before relaunching Adobe apps
• Ensure AME is fully launched before sending the composition from After Effects 

Also, what are your system's specs?

As a workaround, you can export a high-resolution version of your After Effects comp from the Render Queue inside After Effects and then reencode the resulting file to MXF op1a inside AME.
