Comp viewer shows Black screen

Every 2-3 minutes my comp viewer turns black and I can't see what im doing/ did anymore unless i re-open it. Ive tried reseting the trash and re-installing it 3 times. I' geussing it's a setting that is automaticaly turned on what is stopping it from working properly.

Sorry for your issue.

As Mylenium said, it could be related to hardware acceleration. However, in order to troubleshoot the issue properly, please share the following details:

Here's what you can try:

  • Make sure your GPU driver is updated.
  • Clear your media cache.
  • For testing, change the video renderer to Mercury Software Only (go to File > Projects setting).

After effect version is 22.6

CPU: Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 - 1065G7 10th gen

RAM: 16 gb

GPU: Intel (R) Iris (R) Plus Graphics

OS: 22000.1098 (windows 11)

My gpu driver is up to date and I've cleared my cache

I've also changed my video renderer to Mercury Software Only

and now it just freeze frames instead of turning black

The answer is plain and simple: Your hardware acceleration is not working correctly. Check the relevant settings, update your graphics driver.
