Complex shapes and Glass Morphism

Question

Im wanting to create an L shape in the corner of a video with rounded edges in a glass morphism style, however when I turn the graphics layer into an adjustment layer the inside corner of the L disapears. anyone have any ideas how one could fix this problem?
