Copy paste text problem in AE

Greetings. When I copy the text from anywhere on my Mac and paste it inside the text layer in AE it doesn't pastes. I'm sure that the text was copied and I can paste it eveywhere but not inside the text layer. And another strage thing is that I can type something manually inside the layer and then copy and paste. Seems like AE have its own buffer.

Launch AE from the dock, not via double-clicking on the project file. This is a known bug where some security stuff blocks the clipboard when not launching AE "cleanly".
