copying a text expression to a non text layer

Is there a way to copy a text expression to several mask paths in a layer? I imported a child's drawing of a flower with Adobe Capture, then used the stroke effect to look like it was being drawn. Now I want to animate it in a way similar to the Fish Bait expression but I can't figure out how to copy the expression from a text layer to a non text layer. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Are you talking about the Fish Bait preset? I don't think it has any expressions. It's just a skew animator with a wiggly selector. You might be able to simulate that by duplicating your layer so that each mask is on a separate copy, applying the Transform effect to each copy, and then animating the skew amount with a simple wiggle expression ( wiggle(1,15) maybe). You'll probably also have to adjust the Transform effect's skew axis, anchor point, and position parameters.
