I am on a MBP running 10.13.4.

CC18

On startup I get three distinct error messages:

1. After Effects Warning: Can't write to font cache directory

2. (83::2) After Effects Error: String memory leak

3. After Effects can't continue: Unexpected failure during application start-up.

I have uninstalled and re-installed. and restarted. which is about as far as my technical abilities go. Would REALLY appreciate any help.

I know some folks have been having issues with the High Sierra update not playing nicely with Ae. I'm a PC person, so my expertise on THAT issue ends here.

There are a few things going on here, but let's see if we can get AE to start up.

When starting the application, hold down Cmd + Opt + Shift right after double-clicking the app icon.
You'll get a prompt about deleting your preferences file. Choose yes. Result?
