Crashes when closed (Windows 10)

For a while After Effects (Stable or Beta) crashes when I close the app at least four times out of five. I prefer a crash at closing than during using the app but it is still annoying.

Sorry, but that's pretty much useless. You have not offered any system information or other details such as the crash info, so nobody can tell you why AE is doing what it's doing. Most crashes on exit point to some component not unloading, but what it is we can't know. You have to be much more specific if you really want to figure this out.
