Create transition in after effects for premiere pro

Question

Hey!

I'm facing a little problem. I'm currently working on a project in which I need to create custom transition. I created the transition and everything seemed to work correctly.

The thing is, I'd like to be able to use the transition easily in premiere pro. Is there any way to do that?

You could try to work with the new footage replacment options in Essential Graphics, but overall there's really no good way to get such transitions over to Premiere and it's still a lot of extra work because you would have to reorder the sequence timeline and add extra edits just to have clips for the transition. It may in fact simply be faster to just duplicate the comps in AE and replace the footage sources there, then replace the rendered out clips in Premiere...
