Credit roll centered on separator

I would like to create a credit roll in AE in which cast members are listed as actor <separator> role pairs, with all pairs horizntally centered and aligned on the separator (probably an ellipsis, but I haven't decided yet).

Is there a way to do this without manually shifting each line to get the separators to line up? AE does not seem to have a sophisticated tab feature. And if I did resort to manually shifting each line, what would be the best way to d it?
