Customising fonts in Motion Graphics Templates

I am using some motion graphics templates in Premiere that do not allow for font customisation. In order to use the correct font I have been editing these templates in After Effects.

Unfortunately, whenever I export the templates I get an error that the fonts selected were not synced from Adobe.

The font selected is on my computer and selected using Adobe Fonts but I keep getting this error message. It seems no matter how I select the font, Adobe won't accept it and reverts to something else in Premiere

Any suggestions?

All that error message means is that you have two fonts that may not be available in Premiere Pro. If they are installed on your system, and you try to select those fonts in Premiere Pro's Graphics workspace, they should show up. There is a possibility that some fonts may not be available in Premiere or even Photoshop and Illustrator because the Type Engines for all Adobe products are not the same. 

 

If you have some specific fonts that you must have available in Premiere Pro and you cannot get them to appear, you may have to look for the font from a different supplier. I have had to do that for a couple of my clients. 3rd party fonts from different suppliers are not always the same, and some don't work at all in Adobe products.  You should also be aware that support for PostScript Type 1 fonts is ending.

Thank you Rick for the speedy response,

The fonts I am using are available in Premiere Pro - I have checked that and am able to create text files in Premiere using the same font.

I have even tried making the text options editable within the graphics template - the editable options come up but make no difference to the final animation.

All of the graphics I have created have the same error message, but some display the correct font regardless and some don't. Its a head scratcher

Most of the time, it's a bogus warning. If you were to load the MOGRT on a machine that did not have those fonts, you would not be able to sync them using the CC app.  Does that make sense?
