Deep Glow not working black screen

I have installed the deep glow plugin after I open after effects I just write any text or create any shape and then when I apply the deep glow plugin the composition screen goes completely black. I can't find any solution on the internet for it. But on my other PC, it's working fine.

    The last few builds of AE are prone to fouling up preferences. I tried Deep Glow on my machine and got the same result. My New Comp action was also taking longer than it should have.

     

    I reset the preferences by holding down Shift + Ctrl/Cmnd + Alt/Option when I launched AE, and the problem went away.

    the boring standard answer applies: Update your system's graphics driver and check the settings. Deep Glow uses GPU acceleration and so does AE. There's clearly a conflict or lack of resources here.
