Question

deformed and shifted/tiled texture render in AE2026 and AE2027beta (AE2025 works)

Hello.
I have project and there is used Cineware to render 3D coupons falling from the top..
Project was developed in AE2025 and there everything works like a charm..
But when I open project in AE2026 (or 27beta), texture is deformed and tiled somehow.. It looks like something invert normals, but in 2D.
I need to keep project in 2025 what is not optimal way to work when all other projects are already shifted to 2026.
Sample screens atached.
Windows 11, latest drivers, latest adobe versions..
I can provide reduced project if it helps

AE 2025
AE 2026 and 2027

That's not ideal.

Please share the project file with me for testing. Feel free to DM me the download link if you prefer not to share it publicly.

Looking forward to your response.

Hi @vobrazovka,

Thanks for sharing the file. Looks like the issue is actually inside Cinema 4D rather than After Effects. I opened "Shot_197_Coupon_Label_FG_Left.c4d" in the latest version of Cinema 4D (2026.3.1) and the texture didn't look correct there either. However, when I opened the same file in an older version of Cinema 4D (2025.3.3), it looked as expected.

My best guess is that the UV unwrapping has broken in the newer version of Cinema 4D. Unfortunately, I can't suggest a specific fix because I'm not an expert with Cinema 4D — you'd likely have better luck posting on the Cinema 4D forum where the community can help troubleshoot this from the C4D side.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu
