Delayed audio launch in preview

Hey there,

when I do a preview in After Effects, the Audio is every time not playing right from the start, even if the green line at the top of the timeline indicates that everything should be rendered. So if I want to have a preview with video and audio, I always must set a small area with In/Out and preview this in loop. Then after a few seconds I can also hear the sound. It plays synchronous, but it seems weird to me to wait for the sound instead of the video.

Is this common in After Effects, or should there be a more efficient way?

I have installed AE 17.0.2 on Windows 10.

Is it just this one file / project? Or a general problem?

Try the following menu option: File > Purge > All memory and disk cache.

Any improvement?

Check: Preferences > Previews > Audio: Is mute audio when preview is not Real-Time checked or not?
