Destroying Earth with a Black Hole (Tutorial)

Question

For the past couple of months I've been working on this sequence - it's bit entirely in After Effects and the only element which is not part of AE's default effects is the free Orb effect from Video Copilot.

There are loads of steps and the tutorial was threatening to be really long and hard to follow, so I've split it into 3 parts.

It would technically all happen at once, though, and in a fraction of the time plus you'd likely not see any fancy optical effects. To a black hole a small planet like Earth isn't even crumbs on the breakfast table... 😉
