DFHS Gothic Japanese Not Working

Windows 10 - 64 bit / Rampage V Extreme / 64 Gig Cosair Platinum DDR4 RAM / GTX 970 / i7 / Samsung 1TB SSD / After Effects CC 2018 Latest Update

Hello,

I installed DFHS Gothic font "DFHSGothic-W5-MP-RKSJ-H" on my PC and inside of After Effects when I try to use it on Japanese font After Effects changes the font to Meiryo. The font works fine on English text, but switches when I try to use in with Japanese, which is what I need it for.

This font was given to me at work from a person using a mac and it is working fine on his computer. The font is a ttf so it should work on mac and PC.
