Difficulty with Dynamic Linking Between AE and Premiere Pro

I have been trying to import an AE comp into Premiere Pro, but when I click the project to import it, it shows the project as being empty. There are no available updates for either program. I am also occasionally losing the ability to set in-points in Premiere Pro and having to restart Premiere to get it working again. I doubt these two things are connected, but I thought I would mention it.

Which version of PR and AE are you using?

Which OS do you have? Where do you save your projects and media file?

Without any details about the projects and proper system info nobody can tell you much. Simply sounds like the usual hardware acceleration issues, so start by checking this stuff and updating your system's graphics driver. Anything beyond that will require much more specific info.
