disected imported footage

For some strange reason the footage i imported is displaying like this in the edit window before importing to the production strip. Any reason why it might be doing this.

    Let's us know After Effects version your using...You can try Disabling the Hardware Accelerated Decoding in import Preferences of After Effects. Refer the screenshot -
