disk cache error

so, when i open after effects it shows me the disk error and immediately crashes. i cannot even go to preferences, any idea on how to fix?

Without any info on your system and the exact error we can't realyl tell you much. You need to be much more precise. that said, of course you can always try to delete the actual preferences file in your user folder as laid out here:

Anything more wil lrequire proper details.
