Disk Cache on same drive (SSD) or a different one?

I currently have a 250GB SSD and a 500GB HDD in my computer right now. The AfterEffects DiskCache is cufrrently stored on my SSD, but should I change it to my hard drive as I heard it is good to have the cache seperate from your project, but a HDD is also way slower than a SSD, so I don't know. Any suggestions?

Your disk cache should always be stored on the fastest drive you have available. I used to have a dedicated 128 GB SSD for my Adobe Scratch Disk (all the video apps), but have since upped that to a dedicated 500 GB drive. This is one of the most important things to do for good performance in After Effects.

How are your previews? slow? I think it's best store on SSD. But you need a good space just for cache, at least 50GB. Disk cache is some renders stored, so they need fast reading.
