Double click doesn't work anymore

Hi all,

 

I'm facing a major bug and my web researches didn't get me any help so far so I'll give a try with you here.

As explained in the title, double clicking doesn't work anymore. I can't open a composition from the project panel, I can't edit a whole mask (only have access to individual vertex with a simple click), I can't enter a precomp via the layer in the timeline. Anything requiring a double click basically...

 

I tried to reset preferences, nothing. I uninstalled/reinstalled the app, nothing. I used the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, nothing. I uninstalled any Wacom driver and checked my mouse drivers, nothing. Actually, I even tried differents mouses. Same bug.

 

And last but not least, the bug seems to be present in any Adobe app I use (mainly AE, Illustrator, Photoshop). I have no problem in any other application or in my OS (Windows 10 up to date).

 

I'm a long time user and have encounter some bugs along the way, but none that I couldn't fix so if any of you fellows have an idea (other than buying a new machine 😉 ), I would gladly accept your help.

If you have extra mouse devices, you try one of these. I would guess the cause is the mouse driver.

That is the first thing I did ! The same bug occured.

But to be more specific as I did some more tests, double click worked if I clicked like 20 to 30 times in a row. Like a lag in the mouse input. And after doing this a few times, everything went right again.

I guess I won't figure out what exactly happened there, but thank you for taking a minute to help !
