You can notice name source abcd is duplicated & it has a name abcd 2. But in this below tutorial lesson Adding the scroll message animation does not show any name source difference in duplication. What is the reason?

The respective timeline column is set to show the source item name, not the layer name. For parametric layer types like text they are identical, though, unless you explicitly rename stuff. You may want to read the online help on basics.
