Question

Dynamic Link/Smaller Ratio Screen

I'm trying to Replace a clip from Premiere and move it into After Effects. But once I click Replace with After Effects Composition, the screen in After Effects has a smaller aspect ratio. Or at least that's what it appears. Once I take a look at the Composition Settings, the program is saying that it's the same aspect ratio.

Example: I pull a 1440x1080. It appears in After Effects like a square, but the composition settings is saying it's still 1440x1080

Sounds like you're working with non-square pixel source footage.  You can confirm this in the Comp settings dialog box.  It will indicate a Pixel Aspect Ratio of "1.33".  Other than leaving the Toggle Pixel Aspect Ratio button enabled in the Comp window, you probably want to leave the settings as they are.

So, I cleared the Disk Cache. But that didn't work exactly. I ultimately had to delete, not just the Ae Project File, but the Premiere Pro Project file, and when I used the Dynamic Link again, it worked fine.
