Editing Text and Logos on M1 Mac Error

Hey Guys, im currently using AE on M1 Macbook, whenever I download templates from Envato Elements it does not show the text preview or logo preview when replacing. Sometimes if I add a layer or add a new text layer the text or logo then shows and I can preview whilst editing. 
How do I fix this? I have tried reset character preview and it still does not work
