Effect Menu
Some of the effects are in the Effect menu bar as well. This is in addition to Effects & Presets menu. What is the reason for that?

All effects are in both the Effects menu and the Effects and Presets panel. It's very common to have multiple ways to access the same function in software. Not everyone has the Effects and Presets panel open all the time and sometimes it's easier to access an effect quickly from the top menu.
