If it works faster after a reboot, chances are that your storage driver and power management are involved or possibly Windows itself creating huge hibernation files. Also check the new settings for Multiframe Rendering. Perhaps AE is simply creating a ton of fake file operations that bring your disk(s) to their knees. I'd keep Task Manager/ Resource Monitor open and have an eye at the activity there. Further debugging using Process Explorer and other analysis tools from Sysinternals/ Microsoft might also help.

Dissable mulframe rendering. Not help at all.

Really annoying. Adobe seem like never going to give as a smooth costumer experience.

What type of disk is it stored on? What kind of stuff ydo you typically cache? Just previews? Rotobrush data? CAW Fill? Other stuff?

SSD exclusively for cache files. Normal previews, No rotobrush. If i restar the PC, delete normally (a few seconds).
