Error after 2023 version update

Question

In the process of updating illustrations not too long ago, all applications were automatically updated, After that, all the workspaces and preferences that were set up were initialized.

Not only After effec, but also Photoshop and illustration are the same phenomenon.

Can't we go back to the old settings? And why is this happening?T.T

Unless you chose to migrate the settings during the update and subsequent first launch of the program that is how it is supposed to work. Major versions always create new configuration folders. This is not a bug. For anything else you may want to educate yourself on how to back up this stuff and e.g. export custom color palettes, presets etc. from the respective programs to import them into newer versions.
