Error: File is Damaged 33::7 - SOLVED

Hi,

 

Just a heads-up for some people who might encounter the same issue. I couldn't open an AE project file from an earlier version (2023) into 2024 - including any auto-saves. The warning message also mentioned cineware being an issue. Finally, I managed to open up the project in a BETA of AE, delete my C4D files in the project browser (along with the composition) and save. Then it would open up normally. I'm assuming there's some issue with an older version of cineware and C4D files that prevented it from being opened. Hopefully this might help someone out.

    Yes, you're right. There was some issue with the Cineware that didn't let After Effects open project files with a Cinema 4D layer. The good news is that this issue has been fixed in the upcoming version (24.2.1). You'll receive the update soon if you haven't already.
