Error when trying to import text animation

I work in 2023 version of Bridge and AE. I can't import a text animation from pre-view in Brigde to AE. Get the following error message: "Can't import file......Unsupported filetype or extension".

I've tried several different animations rendering the same message. What's wrong??

This is a known issue. Presets can only be applied directly from the Effects & Presets palette or the Effects menu. This is sort of a running gag in AE. The feature has worked for the last two versions, now it's broken again and if you look it up, you see this on/ off pattern in the past as well.
