Everything seems slightly transparent

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something really obvious here but every time I fill an object it seems to be slightly see through. I'm working in a project with a black background and when filling a shape with white it's just showing up grey and is slight see through.

I've attached a screenshot of the white shape as well as some other shapes that I filled with bright colours.
