Export Issue between AME > AE

Hi everyone,

I had an issue when I was trying to export an AE Compo with a C4D file/Cineware throught AME,

I thought AME would be rendering in background and so I could keep working on the compo

But when I modified the c4d file in this compo in AE, it also automatically changed the compo in AME during the export.

Does anyone know how to fix that ?

Thanks a lot !

The easiest way is to collect your projec , so you will get all your assets including the project you work on in a separate new folder than you can open this new project add it to AME and render it, and later you can go back to your original project and keep working as you do before.

AME render only the AE source in the background but it didn't create a backup for the linked files, so when you add AE Project to AME the AE Project will be rendered as it is even if you do any modification later, but the linked file like pictures, video and C4D file will still live and if you do changes on this files it will be update during render.

If you have  autosave on perhaps you can go back to a previous version that way?

There's nothing to fix. A file is a file is a file. You need to duplicate the file beforehand if you continue to add modifications and want to uncouple it from another project in which it is used.
