Exporting a fcpx in apple pro res 422 to then edit in AE?

Hi Guys,

I just want to check this is the 'normal' and optimal way of exporting for my project.

I edited my project in fcpx and exported in apple pro res 422, I then took that file into AE and created some text tracking, exported in h.264 for finished project.

I guess my question is, should I be exporting my fcpx project in an uncompressed format or will I not notice a difference in quality?

(the finished versions quality looks good, this is more feedback to see if I could do things better next time round)
