ExtendScript Toolkit - Object Model Viewer

Hi all,

I know there's not really a way around this but I'm curious if anyone knows why the Object Model Viewer in ExtendScript Toolkit doesn't have After Effects Object Model in the Browser dropdown?  It has it for Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Not that jumping into the AE Scripting Guide is much of a pain...but it just seems like it would be appropriate to have it inside ESTK...

For those who are wondering where the Object Model viewer is... it's under "Help" it seems what you get by default may be influenced by what you have selected as the "Target Application"

@vinoth9669 FYI, the ExtendScript Toolkit was discontinued quite some time ago. The generally recommended approach nowadays is to use VS Code with the ExtendScript Debugger extension.

Not sure of the reason why it has never been included. Politics maybe. It has been one of my gripes though since I started scripting in 2007. Also why I created the ExtendScriptDeveloperUtility script as my own way to have the objects somewhat easily viewable.

Nope. Just a lot of work---work that would have taken resources away from other things.

I tried to get this done in 2006, but I quickly ran into just how large a task it would be.

That doesn't mean that we won't do it. It just means that so far we haven't.

Yeah, documentation is such a hugely necessary part of programming but requires so much time to do properly.  Any chance this might be forthcoming?  I'd be willing to chip in time if you want to open source it out...
