Extruded shape with different colours on each side?

You have to model it in a 3D program and color the dudes based on selections with separate materials, the import into AE.

You could line up some rectangles on a shape layer. I used four 1-pixel wide, 500 pixels high rectangles with the Transform Rectangle anchor point offset by 250 pixels, each one rotated by 90º to form the outside edge of another 500 X 500 rectangle, then adjusted the colors, added some light and a camera and got this:
