Question

Eye dropper not working on second monitor.

Hello! I am trying to use the eye dropper tool on a simple solid layer and I can't seem to get the eye dropper tool to work properly. I have moved a large portion of my work space onto a second monitor and it is on this monitor that I am using a palette to sample different colors for my project. However, when I select the eye dropper tool, the icon appears as if it is about to sample a color, but it won't actually select that color unless I move the cursor onto the first monitor. So basically the tool will only work on my main monitor and not on my second. Thank you for your time!

This may sound silly, but if you drag and swap the content of the two monitor windows, does the behavior still happen with the second monitor only? I'm wondering if it's a different graphics driver issue, unless they're identical.

Yeah, so when all of my window panels were on the first monitor and nothing was on the second monitor, the eye dropper tool would only work on the first monitor. Regardless of which monitor I have my content placed on, the eye dropper tool only works on the first monitor. My monitors are not identical, in fact they are quite different in size and performance. I wouldn't have originally thought anything of this, but it sounds like this may have something to do with it?

Thank you for taking the time to answer this. I feel like there will always be something new I need to learn about with this stuff.
