FAQ: How to solve After Effects (v 17.5) error: Couldn't find main entry point for Camera Raw.plugin

Update: Camera RAW version 13.0.1 has been released which takes care of this issue. Please ensure that your Camera RAW is updated to 13.0.1 to solve this issue.

The latest release of Camera Raw (version 13) requires macOS 10.14 (Mojave) or later to work properly. Updating Photoshop will also update Camera Raw.

If you are on macOS 10.13 and have updated Photoshop to the latest version, you might experience a crash at launch with the latest version of After Effects (v 17.5).

To solve this issue, please install Camera Raw version 12.2.1 from this link.
