Follow property from another comp with independent timeline

Hi everyone;

In After Effects, how can I make a layer in one composition follow the change of this property:

comp("Master_1").layer("Mask").content("Ellipse_2").content("Ellipse Path 1").size

…but start from the beginning of its own composition, instead of syncing to the timeline of “Master_1”?
Basically, I want the “size” animation to play from the start, regardless of where the follower’s timeline currently is.
