Bonjour,,

Est-il possible de transformer une font non monspace en font monospace pour que lorsque les lettres sont animées, les lettres ne bougent pas en position de gauche à doite ?

merci,

Fabrice

Entirely depends whjat kind of animation you need. There is of course the old trick of creating vertical text and adjusting basleine shift, line spacing and letter spacing to create the illusion, but apparently that would fall apart when using text animators. This trick on the other hand works pretty much in any program, so there could be some wisdom in using it to create a set of layers in Illustrator for instance. For most other stuff you can't really get this and you have to play with manual kerning each pair of characters, visual vs. metric kerning and all that. Finally, of course you can always convert a regular font into a monospace using a font editor, but that can be quite tricky, especially with professional commercial fonts, as they may be protected and you have to strip a ton of data to make them behave "dumb" like a monospace font.
