FOOTAGE 30FPS IMPORT TO AE CHANGE TO 24FPS AND PLAYBACK ISSUE

Hello, I have a question.
I have footage recorded at 30fps using an iPhone. When I edit it in Premiere, I render the output at 30fps as well.
The problem is, when I import the footage into After Effects, it often changes to 24fps.
When I change the comp settings to 30fps, the playback becomes slow.
When I check the source footage again, it does say 30fps.

I hope I explained it clearly.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

That window in the second screen shot is the Comp window.

Did you create that comp from your imported footage or did you make it from scratch?

If you made it from scratch the frame rate would be based on the last comp you made, and not your imported file.

Can you show a screenshot of the thumbnail (at the top of the Project panel) when you have your imported video file selected. This will show the framerate & dimensions that Ae is interpreting the imported file at.

In addition to what ShiveringCactus suggested, how do you identify that After Effects has imported the footage at 24 fps? Is it visible in the top section of the Project panel when you highlight the footage?

That's weird. Typically AE picks the correct FPS. Can you alter it by right-clicking on the footage in the project panel and choose Interpret footage > Main Or does it block that from happening?

Not suggesting this is a solution, but it might shed some light.
