Question

Fractal Noise *not working*

I am trying to recreate a Glitch effect by adding fractal noise to a solid. However whenever I add the effect the solid layer seems to disappear? No matter what settings I tweak for the effect, the layer still stays transparent. I have restarted both After Effects and my computer. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

If you are using the latest version, it is possibly a problem with your graphic card. Some of the effects in CC2107 are GPU accelerated. You can turn on the GPU processing for effects in File > Project Settings. In the Video Rendering and Effects, choose Mercury Software Only. Once you change this, try to preview your Fractal Noise Effect.

Can we please see a screenshot of your full interface with your solid showing?

Also, what version of After Effects are you using?
