Question

Fresco in After Effects when rendered all the colors and textures are altered

Hi!

I am animating drawings done in Fresco with After Effects. I export the Fresco file as a PSD and load it as composite levels into After Effects. Everything works fine until I want to export the video. I add it to the rendering cue, it exports but when I open the .mov file with VLC all the layers that were drawn in Fresco are either nearly translucent and a few shades too light or completely gone. In the inside preview it looks fine. I have tried messing around with settings such as color depth and maintain RGB but nothing. Every time I export it it fades.

I used the watercolor brushes on Fresco. And I tried even making a file where there were only the watercolors in case the original After Effects composition had become corrupt. And the issue remains.

I have attached two images of the part you can still see.

(I am new to this suite and also english is not my mothertongue so excuse any mistake)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you all very much!

You appear to not be using any color management and that pretty much is the simple version of this answer. The longer, more complicated version might be how to get a decent CM instated. As far as I know Fresco has no such thing and simply relies on trhe generic device profile of your tablet, and that being the case you would need to convert it to an sRGB profile in Photoshop, honoring the specifics of the device profile. No idea about the specifics, though. Perhaps there's an article or tutorial on that somewhere.
