Generative Fill error (All target frames are blank)

"After Effects warning: All target frames are blank. The Content-Aware Fill layer generation for Comp (...) has been aborted."

This error do I get when trying to Generate Fill Layer.

My Comp has a hole to fill, so that is not the problem.

I trashed Preferences as suggested in another thread.

Any suggestions?

Meanwhile, what does this even mean: "All target frames are blank."?

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear about the issue.

Is it happening in all the projects or just a particular one? Can you try running After Effects in Safe Mode and test on a new project? If that helps, resetting the preferences should fix it.

I found a thread with more tips that you might find useful: https://adobe.ly/48CeoqJ

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,
Nishu

Thanks for your support Nishu. In a new Comp it works again, luckily. Strange.
Do you have a good translation of that message 'All target frames are blank' - it leaves me clueless.
