Glitchy Preview Playback in After Effects

Hi all,

 

I am having a very puzzling situation in After Effects I’m hoping to get solved.

 

Every time I am previewing an animation, I am getting a distortion/glitch as it plays. It seems like the glitch is random (it’s sporadic when the glitches occur during the preview).

 

Please view the attached video to see the problem. I just recorded this video from my phone. Note the animation exports completely fine. I am only having this problem when I am doing a RAM preview.

 

For background information, I have a PC running Windows 10 with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. I am using the most up-to-date version of AE in Creative Cloud. I have a AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 9-Core Processor with 31.92 GB of RSM.

 

I have talked with Adobe about this, but can’t seem to get it figured out. I am not sure if it is hardware related or an Adobe issue.

 

This similar issue is happening with Premiere as well. Thanks so much in advance for any insight you may have.

Would you also update your graphic card driver although you might have already done it?

Thanks for writing in.

What's the version of After Effects and Premiere Pro you're using? Are you on a dual monitor setup? If so, does the problem occur if you disconnect the secondary monitor? Are you using the Game Ready or Studio driver?

In addition, I should have mentioned that I have cleared the cache multiple times, I have reset the preferences and deleted background preferences. I have updated the driver. I have also tried to go back to an earlier version of After Effects.
