Question

Got this error after upgrading computer

So tonight I tried using a ray trace 3D on text which I thought was pretty simple.

Here is my setup after my upgrade:

Ryzen 2700

GTX 1080

32GB of DD4 Ram

This is the error message even after getting updating the drivers.

What is the deal this?  I even set it up

Bismarck's advice is not going to be helpful for your situation.

The ray-traced renderer is considered dead and hasn't been updated in quite a number of versions at this point. It will not work on the 10xx series of cards out of the box. The official recommendation from Adobe is to use the Cinema 4D renderer instead. It will be much faster (and less error-prone) than the ray-traced renderer when they're both running on the CPU.

That said, there is a way to get the ray-traced renderer to work on the 10xx series of cards and it will probably be significantly faster, but it's a bit hacky. See my post in this thread: Re: 1080Ti doesn't work

Try updating your video drivers. If that doesn't work turn CUDA off.
