Gradient fill from PS is not updated in AE

Question

Hi,

I have completed my illustration in PS. I was happy. After completeing the animation I dnt like the end result. So I wanna tweak some colors and end up applying gradient fill in one layer in PS. But its not updtaed in AE. 😥

I do not wanna redo the animation with updated PS file. anyway I can use the updated file without destroying my animation? Please I need guidance. 😥😣

Live layer styles are only translated when importing as a composition. What's not there in the first place simply does not exist in AE's mind. You can try to replace the layer on the timeline by alt- dragging from the project window, but that's as good as it gets. You may still have to redo stuff, be it just the anchor point being aligned differently.It's one of those areas where AE simply sucks even after more than 25 years...
