Grainy look

After updating After Effect I noticed that everything looks grainy. When I type text, draw circles, squares, etc. they look grainy. Is there any fix for this problem?

In addition to everything sugggested so far, check your Composition Resolution. Are you at Half, Third, or Quarter when you've usually been working at Full or Auto?

Please check the zoom level of your composition window and make sure that you're not super zoomed in. Click on the drop down with the percentages and choose 100% or fit.

Start by updating your system's graphics driver and check the hardware acceleration settings in AE. anything beyond that will require proper system info, screenshots and so on.
