How do I turn off this yellow pop-up window in the graph editor? It interferes with the view and it is dynamic, sometimes it is very large and covers important points.

Thanks for writing in Vadym.

You can disable it from the Graph Editor itself by disabling "Show Graph Tool Tip". Please check out the screenshot.

Thanks,
Nishu

Yeah, that yellow pop-up in the graph editor can be super annoying. Sadly, there’s no actual setting to just turn it off for the graph — it’s tied to the general tooltips in After Effects.

You can hold Ctrl (or Cmd on Mac) while hovering over keyframes, and it’ll hide the tooltip temporarily. That’s probably the easiest fix if you just want to see what you’re doing for a second.

If you really hate it, you can disable all tooltips completely in Preferences → General → Show Tool Tips, but that’ll remove them everywhere in the UI, not just in the graph. So no more pop-ups for buttons or layer names either.

Otherwise, zooming out a bit or moving your cursor off the keyframe makes it disappear too. Not perfect, but it helps.

If you’re doing a lot of curve editing, tools like Flow or Graph Editor Redux don’t show those annoying pop-ups and make things way smoother.

Thanks for the detailed answer! I think I'll just have to get used to it 😄 I'm after DaVinci Resolve, it's hard to relearn.
