Beginners Guide to Color Theory

 

"White, black & gray are never referred to as hue." Please see above video at time 0.29. Is this saying correct? 

 

Because Hue option can give these above colors. Please see following example:

Yes, greys are technically just luminance without color and traditionally referred to as value even in traditional painting. Of course any color picker will produce them. That's just a specific computer math/ implementation thing as nobody would go out of their way to implement a greyscale-only picker. Anyway, don't overthink it. Color theory is it's own research field and can drive you crazy.
