Hard edge on inner shadow layer style?

Hi there, knowledgable people! I've applied an inner shadow layer style to an object and it looks great, except for the very noticable hard edge to the noise. If I don't add noise, the gradient between the style and the fill color of the object is very smooth. Is there a way to keep the noise but not have that hard edge? I've played with all the settings to no avail. Thanks!
