HDR in AE using AJA IO 4K device - trouble

I have, in the past, successfully used After Effects and an AJA IO 4K device to display HDR content on my HDR display device, but I've set up a new machine (Thunderbolt 3 instead of Thunderbolt 2), and I can't get it to work.

I've set up the AJA Control Panel and Premiere for it to work with both SDR and HDR content, so I'm confident I've got that end of it set up right.

But after successfully viewing HDR content in Premiere on the HDR display, quitting Premiere and launching AE, and viewing that same exact content via AE, I get nothing on my HDR display (matching the AJA setup in preview settings). I got SDR content to almost work (purple image, likely a YUV/RGB confusion), but keep getting a black screen on the HDR device.

Anybody have any clues or suggestions? I recall from prior experience something about Lumetri scope settings played a part in this; I've flipped in and out of HDR mode and Rec2020 color space to no avail.

(latest versions of AE, AJA software/firmware as of June 26th)

ToolfarmJP - thank you, that worked! I left the firmware at v15 and rolled back a version to 14.2.1 or thereabouts with the latest After Effects, and after much tweaking and squinting and lifting my left foot, I got it to work. If anyone is interested in the answer, let me know and I'll document it. One of the Seekrit Sauce ingredients: the Lumetri Scopes settings matter! You wouldn't think so but it does.

I am currently experiencing problems with HDR preview in AE v.23 while no such problems in Premiere.

Could you please publish a more detailed recipie that worked for you, @MikeCurtis_1138 ?

    Thanks in advance,

    K

    Hello,

What I would recommend is only to downgrade and install the version of the IO 4K driver.
