Help for a complete noob

Ive recently downloaded some logo templates from Envato Elements and was hoping to change a few simple elements.

All i would like to do is change the background colour and use my logo but as soon as i've opened after effects i've realized i'm WAY over my head!

Anything any one can do to assist? Any tips etc. I've been looking on youtube for answers but no joy
